The Serbian technology and research company VLATACOM Institute participated in the PARTNER 2025 Defence Exhibition, held in Belgrade from September 23 to 26, 2025. During the event, Mladen Nijemcevic, Deputy CEO of VLATACOM Institute, shared insights with Defensehere.com about the company’s activities and areas of expertise.

VLATACOM is recognized as a leading Serbian manufacturer and system integrator in government security technologies, operating across fields such as secure ICT, cryptography-based electronics, border control, biometrics, and multi-sensor integration. The company combines hardware and software development with applied research to deliver tailored security and surveillance solutions.

Established as Serbia’s first private R&D institute in the field of ICT in 2015, VLATACOM invests around 25% of its annual gross income in research and development. Its 150 experts, including PhD holders and university professors, focus on developing high-security systems for both domestic and international clients, including e-ID platforms, over-the-horizon radar, safe city solutions, and biometric systems.

VLATACOM’s systems and management processes are certified under ISO 9001, ISO 27001, ISO 20000-1, and ISO 14001 standards. The institute maintains long-term partnerships in Southeast Europe, Africa, Asia, and Latin America, emphasizing innovation, education, and global cooperation in the field of information and communication security.
