Türkiye’s state-owned defense manufacturer MKE demonstrated its Tolga Close-In Air Defense System to military and diplomatic delegations from 14 countries, conducting live-fire tests that officials said achieved full success.
Live-fire tests draw delegations from multiple regions
According to MKE, representatives from Europe, Asia-Pacific, Central Asia and Africa — including officials from the U.S., France and Poland — attended the demonstration, which featured real-time engagement scenarios.
In its second major testing event, Tolga executed eight different scenarios designed to simulate attacks by hostile drones. The system completed all tasks with what MKE described as “100 percent success.”

Soft-kill and hard-kill capabilities showcased
In a soft-kill scenario, a hostile drone approximately 3 kilometers away was detected by a mobile radar station and neutralized using a jammer to disrupt its control link.
Hard-kill demonstrations featured two fixed 12.7 mm guns, a vehicle-mounted rotary 12.7 mm weapon, and a 20 mm system. These weapons engaged rotary and fixed-wing unmanned aircraft using anti-drone ammunition developed by MKE.
Designed for land, sea and critical facility protection
MKE says Tolga is intended to protect ground units, military bases, moving convoys, critical infrastructure and naval platforms, offering layered defense against emerging aerial threats.
Following the firing demonstrations, foreign delegations inspected Tolga’s components and subsystem configurations at close range.
