Syria showcased its domestically produced “Al Fatih” armored vehicle at the 63rd Damascus International Fair, presenting the platform as a locally manufactured addition to the country’s defense industry.
According to presentations at the event, the Al Fatih features an armored hull, bulletproof glass and blast-resistant tires designed to improve survivability. The vehicle is equipped with a roof-mounted 12.7mm machine gun capable of rotating 360 degrees.
The vehicle was displayed during the 63rd edition of the Damascus International Fair, held under the theme “Syria is Reborn.”
The event was officially opened by President Ahmed El-Şara and, according to organizers, includes approximately 1,000 institutions and organizations representing 60 countries.
The fair aims to promote economic agreements and international partnerships and is scheduled to run until Sept. 4.
