PGZ, MKE discuss ammunition programs and defense raw materials in Warsaw

Poland’s state-owned defense group PGZ and Türkiye’s Mechanical and Chemical Industry Corporation (MKE) held talks in Warsaw on ammunition programs, air defense and the supply of key raw materials for defense production, PGZ said.

The meeting took place at PGZ’s headquarters between PGZ Chairman Adam Leszkiewicz and company representatives and MKE’s management.

According to PGZ, the talks were a follow-up to discussions held in Türkiye in July between Leszkiewicz and MKE General Director İlhami Keleş. The discussions centered heavily around joint ventures in ammunition manufacturing and the advancement of anti-drone systems.

The latest meeting focused on potential cooperation in ammunition, air defense and securing access to raw materials considered important for special defense production.

PGZ said the discussions were also aimed at identifying opportunities to expand Polish-Turkish industrial cooperation and exchange experience in areas relevant to Poland’s security and regional defense capabilities.

The company said the two sides intend to build longer-term industrial ties based on shared objectives and cooperation.
