WDS extends strategic partnership with SAMI for 2026 edition

(WDS) has confirmed the continuation of its strategic partnership with Saudi Arabian Military Industries (SAMI) for the third edition, which will take place from 8-12 February 2026 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. SAMI, a key partner since the inception of WDS, will continue its collaboration to help advance Saudi Arabia’s defense sector in alignment with Vision 2030. SAMI, as a central player in Saudi Arabia’s defense transformation, has contributed significantly to the success of previous WDS editions. Through this partnership, SAMI supports the Kingdom’s goal to localize 50% of its defense spending, boosting Saudi Arabia's competitiveness in the global defense market.

As a champion of defense localization, SAMI aligns with Saudi Vision 2030’s objectives, focusing on economic diversification and talent development. The partnership emphasizes innovation, strengthens the Kingdom’s defense sector, and enhances international partnerships and investments.

The upcoming WDS 2026, founded by the General Authority for Military Industries (GAMI), will showcase cutting-edge defense technologies across air, land, sea, space, and security domains. The event provides a platform for industry leaders, governments, and SMEs to network and explore investment opportunities, while highlighting Saudi Arabia’s growing defense capabilities.

Andrew Pearcey, CEO of World Defense Show, said, “We are pleased to continue our partnership with SAMI for WDS 2026. Their leadership in defense localization and innovation plays a critical role in advancing the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 goals.”

Wael M Al Sarhan, SAMI’s Chief Communication and Support Service Officer, added, “Our continued partnership with WDS reflects our commitment to advancing cutting-edge technologies and fostering national talent, supporting the localization of Saudi defense spending and contributing to Vision 2030.”
