Turkey’s Defense Industry Agenda 21-17 December 2020

Organized by the Turkish Cyber Security Cluster, the Cyber Security Week, the National Cybersecurity Summit and the Cybersecurity Virtual Fair kicked off on the 21 of December and were concluded on 25 of December.

The President of the Presidency of the Turkish Defence Industries (SSB) İsmail Demir met with the Prime Minister of Bosnia and Herzegovina Fadil Novalic and his accompanying delegation in Ankara.

Last year's champion of the InovaLIG Awards, HAVELSAN managed once more become the champion of the award that determines Turkey’s most innovative companies.

Under the leadership of the Presidency of Turkish Defence Industries, Turkey launched the 324-millimeter Torpedo Development Project (ORKA) to meet the light class torpedo requirements of the Turkish Naval Forces.

Five Turkish defense firms exported $150 million worth of military equipment to Tunisia.
“The products include Turkish Aerospace’s Anka medium-altitude long-endurance UAVs, BMC’s Kirpi mine-resistant ambush-protected vehicle, Nurol Makina’s Ejder Yalçın armored vehicles, various Katmerciler vehicles such as tankers and tanks, and Turkish defense giant ASELSAN’s electro-optic systems,” the president of SSB Ismail Demir tweeted.

In his speech at Turkey’s Innovation Week, Turkish Aerospace’s General Manager Temel Kotil mentioned that his company will be exporting satellites to Argentina.

HAVELSAN introduced the Bulutaltı VTOL Autonomous Unmanned Aerial Vehicle, which is capable of carrying out joint operations with all types unmanned systems.

The president of SSB İsmail Demir announced that a Defense Industry Cooperation Meeting was held with Tunisia.
