SARSILMAZ to showcase its advanced weapon systems at Indo Defence

Turkish defense manufacturer Sarsılmaz is set to participate in Indo Defence Expo & Forum 2024, taking place from June 11 to 14 in Jakarta, Indonesia. The company will present a broad selection of its firearms and integrated systems at the region’s largest defense industry event.

Sarsılmaz, one of Türkiye’s most active defense exporters in terms of international exhibition attendance, aims to use the event both to display its current product range and to explore new business opportunities in the Asia-Pacific region.

Firearms, Remote Weapon Stations and Caliber Variants on Display

At the Jakarta exhibition, the company will present a portfolio that includes infantry rifles, machine guns, submachine guns, and both steel- and polymer-framed pistols designed for a variety of operational needs. Notably, Sarsılmaz will highlight its domestically developed SAR 127 MT and SAR 762 MT heavy machine guns, which are compatible with its own Remote-Controlled Weapon Station (RCWS) systems.

Visitors will also be able to explore Sarsılmaz’s RCWS turret solutions in 20, 25, 30, and 35 mm calibers. These systems, along with related weapons and ammunition solutions, reflect the company’s integrated approach to meeting the requirements of armed forces and internal security units.

Continued Expansion in Southeast Asia

Sarsılmaz’s participation in Indo Defence follows its recent presence at the LIMA exhibition in Malaysia, indicating a consistent regional strategy focused on Southeast Asia. As countries in the region seek external procurement alternatives amid shifting defense priorities, Turkish manufacturers like Sarsılmaz are positioning themselves to meet demand with export-ready systems.

Indo Defence: Delayed but Expanding

Originally scheduled for November 2024, the Indo Defence Expo & Forum was postponed twice due to political changes in Indonesia. The event is now set to run from June 11 to 14, 2025, at the Jakarta International Expo (JIExpo) center.

Held biennially under the auspices of Indonesia’s Ministry of Defence, the event combines the Indo Defence, Indo Aerospace, and Indo Marine exhibitions. Now in its 10th edition, it serves as a major platform for showcasing developments in land, air, and naval defense technologies. The previous edition in 2022 hosted 905 companies from 59 countries and attracted over 36,000 visitors from 72 nations.
