Saab will take part in the Dubai Airshow 2025, held from November 17–21 at Dubai World Central, where it will present a range of integrated defense and aerospace technologies. The company’s exhibit at stand #945 will highlight its latest advancements in air, land and maritime domains, with an emphasis on systems that enhance situational awareness and operational readiness.
Among the featured platforms is the Gripen E fighter, showcased in model form for the first time in Dubai. Saab describes the aircraft as an adaptable multirole fighter developed to address evolving threat environments. The company will also display its GlobalEye Airborne Early Warning and Control (AEW&C) system, already operational with the United Arab Emirates Air Force and Air Defense. GlobalEye provides simultaneous air, maritime and ground surveillance capabilities and serves as a strategic national asset for defense operations across multiple domains.
Saab will participate in the Dubai International Air Chiefs’ Conference as a gold sponsor, underlining its regional presence and engagement with air power leaders.
Heléne Bittmann, Managing Director of Saab in the UAE, said:
“Now more than ever, protecting the sovereignty of airspace is foremost in the minds of many. Saab’s expertise in airborne and ground systems that protect and defend national airspace are central to our Dubai Airshow presence. Our solutions contribute significantly to national security and will be very much part of our discussions with potential customers. We are committed to our partners in the region and look forward to meeting our customers and engaging with stakeholders from the UAE and beyond.”
Also on display will be the Giraffe 1X radar, a compact multi-mission system capable of air surveillance, drone detection, and short-range air defense. Saab’s electronic warfare solutions, including the Arexis system for the Gripen E and Eurofighter EK, will be featured alongside self-protection and countermeasure technologies designed to detect and counter incoming threats.
The company will further present products developed through collaboration with the UAE’s Tawazun Council for Defense Enablement. These include the Coast Control Radar, a software-driven maritime monitoring solution and DeployNet, a secure communications system tailored for tactical operations. Saab’s Deployable Digital Tower, a rapidly deployable and remotely operated air traffic control unit, will also be demonstrated as part of the firm’s civil and military air traffic management portfolio.
Through its participation, Saab aims to engage with regional partners, industry representatives and defense officials to discuss opportunities for cooperation and technology exchange in the Middle East.
