Saab announced it has received an order for its Giraffe 4A radar systems and related services from a country in Latin America. The contract is valued at approximately SEK 550 million.
The Giraffe 4A is a mobile, multi-functional radar designed for both air and sea surveillance. The system can track multiple targets simultaneously and allows for software-based updates, providing flexibility in long-term use.
Carl-Johan Bergholm, head of Saab’s business area Surveillance, said:
“We are proud to announce the first contract of the land-based Giraffe 4A to Latin America. This milestone marks a significant step in expanding our presence in the region with advanced medium range radar. This capability will provide our customer with state-of-the-art air surveillance capability.”According to Saab, the delivery will enhance the customer’s land-based air surveillance capacity.
