Raytheon UK to provide anti-jamming systems for CV90s

Raytheon UK has been awarded a contract by BAE Systems to supply Landshield Plus anti-jam antennas for the CV90 infantry fighting vehicle program.

The Landshield Plus combines an antenna and processor in a single unit, designed to detect and analyze interfering signals while maintaining GPS resilience. It provides real-time situational awareness in contested environments and can be integrated on land, sea, or air platforms due to its compact design and low power usage.

"There is a growing demand for resilient GPS across today's complex battlefield," said James Gray, managing director and chief executive of Raytheon UK. "The Landshield Plus anti-jam solution delivers exceptional performance in one integrated system, making it an ideal choice for modern combat vehicles such as the CV90."

The system operates on both L1 and L2 GPS frequency bands and incorporates a seven-element antenna capable of blocking signals from up to six jammers simultaneously. According to the company, thousands of similar systems are already in service across multiple domains.

Deliveries of Landshield Plus for the CV90, developed by BAE Systems Hägglunds, are scheduled between 2025 and 2029.
