QinetiQ announced that it will continue leading the Weapons Sector Research Framework (WSRF) for an additional two years.
The £160 million contract extension from the Defence Science and Technology Laboratory (Dstl) will provide continued access to weapons science and technology research for Dstl and the UK Ministry of Defence.
QinetiQ will collaborate with MBDA and Thales, enabling access to research from over 150 industry and academic partners.
Since the WSRF began in 2020, a further 60 suppliers have joined the framework, with 70% of all members being small to medium enterprises and academic institutions.
