PARTNER 2025 concludes in Belgrade with global industry showcases

PARTNER 2025 wrapped up in Belgrade on 26 September after four days of displays and meetings that drew manufacturers, suppliers, government delegations and defense professionals from across the region and beyond.

The 12th International Armament and Military Equipment Exhibition was held under the auspices of Serbia’s Ministry of Defence and took place at the Belgrade Fair across more than 100,000 square metres of exhibition space, offering a forum for commercial, technical and institutional cooperation in Southeast Europe and international markets.

EDGE used its debut at PARTNER to highlight a broad portfolio of unmanned systems, sensors and electronic warfare equipment aimed at Balkans and Central and Eastern European customers. The stand included loitering UAVs and VTOL platforms and a range of guided munitions and guidance kits, as well as electro optical gimbals and 3D surveillance radars, underlining the company’s move to expand activity in the region.

Domestic industry entries included Serbia’s OT 4x4 armoured personnel carrier, presented as a protected mobility option for infantry units. The 14 ton vehicle is reported to pair a Cummins 6.7 litre engine with an Allison 3000 transmission, offer frontal protection rated to resist 20 millimetre impacts on the nose, and deliver long range autonomy and a top road speed near 110 km per hour.

Also on show was a digital fire control upgrade for legacy 120 mm M75 and 82 mm M69 mortars, a package that combines modern sensors with RTK drone cueing to reduce time to first shot and improve accuracy. The suite integrates a laser rangefinder, thermal camera and a tablet based application called UPAS to compute firing solutions and pass parameters to the weapon system.

Yugoimport exhibited the Lazar III M 8x8 infantry fighting vehicle fitted with a remotely operated 30 mm turret. The display emphasised modular ballistic protection, a two level anti mine floor and an integrated sensor package including thermal sight and laser rangefinder to support day and night engagements.

Serbia also unveiled an upgraded 90 mm OSA M79 anti tank rocket family featuring a tandem shaped charge and revised propellant. The modernised round aims to improve consistency of muzzle velocity and penetration against reactive armour while remaining compatible with existing launcher families.
