Northrop Grumman Corporation announced it has successfully completed a series of hypersonic test flights for its advanced navigation technology.
The flight campaign is the second in a test series that integrates the company's software and hardware to support hypersonic missions.
James Conroy, vice president, navigation, targeting and survivability, Northrop Grumman, said: “We are helping shape the future of hypersonic guidance and navigation by building and testing advanced sensors that enable these critical missions. These tests validate our model-based approach to sensor development and demonstrate our ability to quickly deliver precision capabilities to warfighters.”
Northrop Grumman is developing the next generation of sensors to support hypersonic weapons for use in GPS-denied environments.
