Turkish defense company Meteksan Defense announced via social media today the successful delivery of the "MERT Electronic Attack System" to the Turkish Armed Forces. The company stated, “As part of the Portable Electronic Attack System Project, the MERT Electronic Attack System, designed and produced entirely with national resources, has been delivered to the Turkish Armed Forces in 2024. Congratulations to our nation!”
The MERT Electronic Attack System is part of the Portable Electronic Attack System (MERT/MERTER) Project, which was initiated through an agreement between the Presidency of Defense Industries (SSB) and Meteksan Defense at IDEF 2019 exhibition. After its development with domestic capabilities, the system was showcased for the first time at IDEF 2023.

It can address various operational needs, offering both stationary mast-mounted configurations and vehicle-integrated options for enhanced mobility.
The system features omni-directional and high-gain directional antennas, enabling precision-targeted electronic attack operations. It can be controlled through a smart tablet or computer, with additional provisions for remote control developed to meet user requirements.
