Havelsan announces B-250 training deal with CALIDUS

Havelsan announced that it has signed a long-term agreement with UAE-based defense company CALIDUS at IDEF 2025 to provide an integrated training ecosystem for the B-250 light attack and trainer aircraft.

The cooperation builds on an initial protocol signed at SAHA EXPO and now extends into a formal contract. Havelsan will supply a complete set of training systems to be installed at CALIDUS facilities in the UAE, covering every stage of pilot preparation.

The systems include:

Flight Training Device (FTD): Simulator replicating mission scenarios with advanced flight dynamics. Part Task Trainers (PTT): Modules for mission-critical maneuvers and systems. Cockpit Entry/Exit Simulator (CIES): Equipment for emergency egress training. Briefing and Debriefing Station (DBR): Platform for planning, analysis, and performance evaluation. Computer-Based Training (CBT): Digital learning combining theoretical and applied knowledge.

Commenting on the project, Havelsan General Manager Dr. Mehmet Akif Nacar said:

“At HAVELSAN, we design simulation solutions not only to replicate reality but also to prepare pilots for the unexpected. This project with CALIDUS is a reflection of our vision to deliver integrated and reliable systems that serve people above all.”

Dr. Khalifa Murad Al Balooshi, Managing Director & CEO of CALIDUS, added:

“Selecting HAVELSAN as our training partner ensures advanced, modern, and future-ready capabilities for B-250 operators. This cooperation is the foundation of a long-term strategic relationship built on trust and innovation.”

According to both companies, the training package is intended to strengthen pilot readiness for the B-250 while laying the groundwork for further cooperation between Türkiye and the United Arab Emirates in the defense sector.
