Hanwha Aerospace has opened a new regional headquarters in Riyadh to oversee its operations across the Middle East and North Africa.
The company held an inauguration ceremony on Wednesday, attended by around 120 representatives from the governments and defense industries of South Korea and Saudi Arabia.
The Riyadh office will manage Hanwha Aerospace’s activities in Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, and Egypt. It will also coordinate with Hanwha Systems and Hanwha Ocean in other countries across the region.
According to the company, the new office is expected to support cooperation with the Saudi government on military modernization and defense industry development in line with the Vision 2030 initiative.
“The new regional headquarters will serve as a bridgehead for Hanwha Group to strengthen partnerships with countries in the region,” said Sung Il, president of Hanwha Aerospace’s MENA regional headquarters.
