Ankara-based SDT Space & Defence Technologies is set to take part in the 18th Defence Services Asia (DSA) exhibition, the largest defense industry event in Far East Asia that is scheduled to take place in Malaysian capital Kuala Lumpur from May 6-9.
The company will welcome guests at the booth number 5100G in Hall 5, where they will engage in discussions with military delegations and representatives from various nations within the scope of 4-day fair.
SDT, which will be part of the Turkish Pavilion together with premier companies of Turkish defense sector, is poised to exhibit a variety of products, including RF Signal Analysis System (ELINT), Guided Missile Simulator, Vehicle-type RF Jammer Systems, Naval Wargame Simulator (NAWAS), ACMI Pod, Aircraft Interceptor Systems, Backpack Type Jammer, Fox UAV and Inertial Measurement Systems along with the products of Sirius Design Laboratory Engineering Company in which SDT holds 40% stake.
SDT acquired 40% stake in the relevant company for TL 3.5 million in Dec. 2023 with an aim of advancing research and development (R&D) activities and product development capacity in the field of defense technologies and to strengthen its domestic production strategy.
DSA and NATSEC Asia
DSA and National Security (NATSEC) Asia, among the globe's foremost defense exhibitions, are jointly organized by the Malaysian Ministry of Defence and the Malaysian Ministry of Home Affairs.
This biennial event, inaugurated in 1988, will convene for its 18th edition this year at the Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Center (MITEC).
Malaysia, bolstering its defense expenditures from the previous year, has emerged as a pivotal market, boasting a 2024 defense budget of $4.37 billion.
DSA 2022
During DSA 2022, a survey conducted by the fair organizer revealed that a 90.4% of participants expressed satisfaction with the event and expressed interest in future participation.
The exhibition saw a robust international presence with 380 VIP delegations from 34 countries in attendance. Furthermore, 1,170 companies hailing from 54 nations showcased their products on stands throughout the event.
Türkiye, a stalwart participant since 1996, is set to organize national participation once again at DSA & NATSEC 2024, marking its 14th involvement in this prestigious event.
