The Presidency of Defense Industries announced the targets of the Turkish defense industry for 2022 under many headlines such as aerospace, air defense, weapons, missiles, and ammunition. Here are the targets set for 2022:
AerospacePresidency of Defence Industries
The development and production of parts for the National Combat Aircraft will continue.
The first deliveries of Turkey’s domestic helicopter GÖKBEY will be made to the Gendarmerie General Command.
Jet trainer and light combat aircraft HÜRJET will leave the hangar and ground tests will begin.
Basic Trainer HÜRKUŞ deliveries will be made.
Mini UAV-D systems and Mini UAV BOYGA’s that drop bombs will be used for the first time.
Bayraktar TB3 SİHA, which can land on and take off from ships with short runways, will make its first flight.
With the delivery of the last A400M aircraft, Turkey’s A400M fleet of 10 aircraft will be completed.
Meltem-3 Project will be completed with the delivery of 2 P-72 Maritime Patrol Aircraft.
Unmanned Reconnaissance Aircraft Project will be launched for the General Directorate of Security.
KILIÇSAT Cube Satellite will be launched into space with the domestically made LNA module which will collect information in space and obtain the location and route of ships.
Air Defense, Weapons, Missiles and Ammunition
Within the scope of the Air-to-Air Missile (Göktuğ) Project, the first deliveries of BOZDOĞAN short range missiles and GÖKDOĞAN beyond-visual-range missiles will be made.
The Gökdeniz Near Air Defense System will be integrated into ISTANBUL Frigate for the first time.
The first deliveries of SUNGUR Portable Air Defense Missiles will be made.
ATMACA Anti-Ship Missile and KARAOK Missile will enter the Turkish inventory.
First deliveries will be made in the Pedestal Mounted Javelin (KMC) Project.
First deliveries of Stabilized Machine Gun Platforms for Gabya will be made.
Land Vehicles Projects
First deliveries of PARS 6x6 Mine-Resistant Vehicles will be made.
The first delivery of the Armored Marine Assault Vehicle MAV will be made.
Modernized Armored Combat Vehicle-ZMA with an integrated unmanned gun turret will be delivered.
The fire control systems in M60T tanks will be renewed with the domestically developed Volkan-M system.
Development and delivery of new unmanned land vehicles of various types and features in various classes will be made.
Marine Projects
MILGEM 6-7-8. Ship contracts will be signed.
The construction of the prototype ship for the Turkish Type Assault Boat Project (TTHB) will begin.
Bayraktar TB3 UCAV will be integrated into the Multi-Purpose Amphibious Assault Ship.
In the New Type Submarine Project, the 2nd Submarine will be pulled into dock.
New unmanned sea vessel projects will be started.
Electronic Systems
KTJ3200 Turbojet Engine used in SOM and ATMACA missiles will be delivered.
The Test Infrastructure for turboshaft engines to be used in helicopters will be put into service.
Development of Electronic Warfare Systems to be used in Unmanned Aerial Vehicles-İHASOJ Project will be started.
National Electronic Warfare Suite Development-FEWS Project will be launched.
First deliveries of Early Warning Radar System ERALP, Low Altitude Radar System ALP and Airport Traffic Radars will be made.
MERT and MERTER Portable Electronic Attack Systems will be used for the first time.
ASELFLIR-600 Project contract, an advanced version of CATS used in Turkish UAVs, will be signed.
The first x-ray vehicle and container scanning system MİLTAR (National Scanning System) will be installed at the facility of the Turkish Ministry of Commerce in İzmir Alsancak Port.
The installation of the Gendarmerie Smart Control Point and the Gendarmerie Smart Patrol Application will begin.
The first deliveries of the domestically developed pilot night vision goggles will be made to the Land Forces Command.
The first delivery of the laser-based helicopter obstacle detection system capable of active scanning will be made within the scope of the Aktif-HETS Project.
Within the scope of the GAMUS Project, the communication systems of the EGM and the General Staff will be integrated with GAMER centers and with each other.
R&D / Industrialization / Support Activities
The AVCI-2 Helmet System with a domestic display module will be used in ATAK helicopters.
YONCA Multi-Core Microprocessor Development R&D Project will start.
R&D Project for Quantum Radar Technologies will start.
More than 200 companies will be supported under the Industrial Competency Assessment and Support Program (EYDEP).
Turkish defense companies will join 8 different international defense industry fairs.
Support to youth and new entrepreneurs will continue with TEKNOFEST, ROBOİK and Cyber Security Competitions.
