Turkish Aerospace (TAI), one of the world’s top 100 defense industry companies, will exhibit its products in the 13th International Defense and Security Expo LAAD which will be held in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil between 11 - 14 April 2023.
TAI will host its visitors at booth N80 in Hall 4 and will hold various meetings within the scope of the fair.
TAI will display its products consisting of 11 models varying from space products, helicopters, UAVs and aircrafts.
ATAK helicopter was showcased for the first time in LAAD 2019
T129 ATAK Helicopter produced by TAI was displayed at the 12th International Defense and Security Expo and attracted great interest from the participants.
A flight demonstration of the ATAK Helicopter was held with the participation of Turkish and Brazilian military pilots.
T129 ATAK Helicopter flew 1,360 miles with 11 pilots in 22 sorties for about 18 hours as a part of the Roadshow held in Brazil prior to the LAAD 2019 Expo.
Türkiye will nationally attend LAAD 2023
The 13th International Defense and Security Expo LAAD where more than 500 companies from different countries will display their products, is expected to host approximately 40.000 visitors and more than 200 official delegations.
Türkiye will attend the biggest defense fair of Latin America with 26 local companies.
In 2019, more than 37 thousand visitors attended the LAAD fair, of which Defensehere.com is a media partner, with 450 international companies, 17 of which were from Türkiye.
The Turkish defense industry surpassed 4 billion dollars in exports in 2022
The export volume of the Turkish Defense and Aerospace Industry sector reached 3 billion 224 million dollars in 2021. This number was the highest ever. In 2022, this number has been exceeded, and the total export volume became 4 billion 400 million dollars.
The momentum gained in the Turkish defense and aerospace sector is also reflected in the export figures. Turkey's government aims to bring that figure to $6 billion in 2023.
The sector realized an export of 506,284 million dollars in March 2023.
