TUSAS Engine Industry (TEI) was founded on January 25, 1985, 38 years ago, by Turkish Aerospace Industries (TAI), General Electric (GE), Turkish Armed Forces Foundation and Turkish Aeronautical Association (THK).
TEI provides high quality products and services to the aerospace industry.
The company produced and shipped its first aircraft engine and engine parts in 1987, and since then has transferred the manufacturing, assembly and testing technology of aircraft engine parts and units to Turkey.
Tusas Engine Industry signed strategic partnerships to reduce Turkey's dependence on foreign sources by purchasing 51 percent of the shares of "Gür Metal" for the metal industry in 2018, and "Varzene Metal" for the metal industry in 2021.
