Trabzon Silah Sanayi AŞ (TİSAŞ), which produces arms in the Eastern Black Sea region, exported 200 thousand weapons to 60 countries in 2023.
TİSAŞ, which has been operating in the Arsin Organized Industrial Zone in Trabzon since 1993, initially produced weapons for various units of the Turkish Armed Forces and the domestic market, but in the following years, it expanded abroad and began exporting most of its weapons.
Increasing its capacity every year, the company has sold weapons to 60 countries, mainly the USA, Canada, and European countries.
Murat Alemdaroğlu, Member of the Board of Directors of TİSAŞ, said that they have a say in the sector in terms of both production capacity and export values, and that they have become a preferred brand.
Stating that they have seen a rapid rise in exports, especially in recent years, Alemdaroğlu said, "The export values we started with in 1998 were very small compared to today's situation. By 2023, our exports were at the level of 200 thousand units. We plan to increase this number by around 30 percent in 2024."
