Intensive work is being spent to prepare Türkiye's most important technology project, the national combat aircraft KAAN, for the first flight this year. Turkish Aerospace Industries General Manager Temel Kotil said, "We are taking the ejection seat from the UK. Its tests are carried out in the UK. We made a front part of KAAN and sent it there to be used in tests. The first launch has been made, the second launch will be made."
Turkish Aerospace Industries (TUSAS) exhibited its manned and unmanned national aerial vehicles at TEKNOFEST Izmir. Turkish Aerospace Industries General Manager Temel Kotil announced the developments related to National Combat Aircraft Kaan in his statement at the festival.
Answering questions about the national combat aircraft KAAN, one of Türkiye's most important technology projects, Kotil said:
"KAAN goes through mechanical tests. We continue with the calendar. This year, as our President said, we will make the first flight. We get the ejection seat from the UK. Its tests are carried out in the UK. We made a front part of KAAN and sent it there to be used in tests. The first launch has been made, the second launch will be made. Thus, God forbid, if something goes wrong while flying, our pilot will be saved. The program continues as it is. Everyone has the excitement of number ten. The companies that serve us are also working. You have our word, may Allah bless us to keep it."
