Smartium Clean: KoçSavunma develops unmanned cleaning robot

Koç Information and Defense Technologies (KoçSavunma), which conducts studies on underwater electronics and acoustics, has developed a surface cleaning robot named Smartium Clean.

The robot, which cleans garbage in water areas such as the sea and lakes, can operate both remotely and autonomously.

Smartium Clean, which is said to be the first unmanned surface vehicle designed for this purpose in Türkiye, speeds up the operation processes of institutions and organizations responsible for marine cleaning and significantly reduces the cost burden of cleaning.

Featuring an intuitive operator panel, Smartium Clean empowers users to swiftly collect a maximum amount of garbage within minimal timeframes, streamlining the entire operation with just one person at the helm.

Engineered for versatility, Smartium Clean is primed for deployment in various aquatic settings including marinas, bays, beaches, lakes, and ponds.

Its inauguration into service within Setur-operated marinas nationwide marks a significant step forward in marine environmental stewardship. Beyond surface waste collection, this cutting-edge solution boasts adaptability for tasks such as sea water analysis, enhancing its utility and value.

Crafted to endure rigorous usage, Smartium Clean boasts easily interchangeable trash nets, a robust 3-hour battery capacity, and hassle-free battery replacement functionality.

Moreover, its adjustable operation speed not only grants users enhanced control over the vehicle but also ensures optimal performance in diverse cleaning scenarios.
