Within the scope of the Long-Range Regional Air and Missile Defense System Project Phase-C (SİPER) contract signed on January 15, 2018 between the Presidency of Defense Industries and the ASELSAN-ROKETSAN-TÜBİTAK SAGE business partnership, the long-range and high-altitude deterrent power of the Steel Dome, Türkiye’s national and domestic long-range regional air and missile defense system SİPER Product-2, which operates in a distributed architecture and plays a critical role at the strategic level, was successfully carried out.
In the firing test held at the Sinop Test Center on September 12, 2024 with the participation of the representatives of the Presidency of Defense Industries and the Turkish Armed Forces, system capabilities were tested using the Fire Control Center, Data Link, Missile Launch System and SİPER Product-2 Missile.
Within the scope of the SİPER Project, it is aimed to complete the acceptance activities of the SİPER Product-1 System and bring it into the inventory by the end of 2024.
