The Ruselectronics Holding has developed combined optoelectronic surveillance and reconnaissance devices for special forces units. They allow to recognize people and vehicles at a distance of several kilometers, regardless of the time of day or weather conditions.
The equipment combines the functions of a thermal imager, TV and laser rangefinder. The device is produced in two modifications: "Sych-PR-S" medium-range and "Sych-PR-D" long-range. Both versions are equipped with a digital magnetic compass and have a satellite navigation system.
The Sych instrument line provides multifunctional, reliable electronic optics with an effective set of technical characteristics. The devices allow to detect people and equipment at a distance of up to 3 and 4 km, respectively. The built-in laser rangefinder works at a distance of 100 meters to 5 km. The equipment has successfully passed factory tests, and now preparations are underway for acceptance tests. It is planned that serial production will begin before the end of the year”, said Pyotr Kovalev, general director of the Tsiklon Central Research Institute.
The devices differ from each other in thermal imaging channels: Sych-PR-D uses a cooled thermal imager operating in the spectral range of 3-5 µm. The equipment allows to detect a person at a distance of 3 km, and a vehicle at a distance of 4 km. Sych-PR-S uses an uncooled thermal imaging channel operating in the 8-12 µm range, with a human and equipment detection range of 1.5 and 2.5 km, respectively.
