In an interview with Defensehere.com, FNSS Corporate Communications Manager Cem Altınışık, presented the armored fighting vehicle PARS SCOUT 8x8.
The PARS SCOUT 8x8 with a 25mm remote controlled turret, is specially produced for a specific program for the Turkish Army, which makes it the only selected Turkish Army vehicle in 8x8 configuration.
Altınışık also mentioned that it can carry a team of 8 dismounted soldiers, 1 gunner, a commander, and a driver where the driver can be situated either up front, in the rear with the team or can be chaired with the commander. With 8 meters of length, the PARS SCOUT also has a turning radius of 8 meters which is considerably small compared to other vehicles within the market.
He also stated that the vehicle features all-wheel steering system as well as ride height control which allow the lifting of the vehicle 50 cm more from the ground.
Finally, he underlines that the vehicle will enter serial production in the near future, thereafter deliver to the Turkish armed forces.
