Pakistani military delegation pays visit to Turkish defense firm SDT

Brigadier General Imran Noor, the Armed Forces Attaché of Pakistan, along with an accompanying military delegation on Wednesday paid a visit to SDT (Space and Defense Technologies), a Turkish defense industry company operating in the fields of electronic warfare and communication, simulation and training, and mission systems.

Noor met with Mehmet Dora, Chairperson of the Board of Directors of SDT, during when they discussed potential areas of cooperation.

The Pakistani delegation received a comprehensive briefing on SDT's current projects and activities. Of particular interest was the ACMI project, nearing completion and tailored for the Pakistan Air Force.

SDT, entered into a contract with the Pakistan Air Force in Nov. 2022. The contract was formalized during the International Defense Exhibition and Seminar (IDEAS) 2022 in Karachi, Pakistan.

Under this agreement, SDT will develop the ACMI Pod simulation system for integration into the Pakistan Air Force's JF-17 aircraft. These advanced systems will enable precise Pilot Tactical Training, enhancing the combat readiness of the Pakistan Air Force.

SDT has been developing ACMI pods since 2014, facilitating live training for Air Force pilots in tactical maneuvers and weapon engagements. This simulation technology is currently utilized by the Turkish Air Force and several other international air forces.
