Mitsubishi Electric's Head of Defense & Space Systems, Masahiko Arai, highlighted the company's cutting-edge satellite technology and the importance of Japan-Philippines relations during an exclusive interview at the ADAS 2024 event in the Philippines.
Arai emphasized that satellite technology remains one of Mitsubishi Electric's strongest assets, showcasing various types of satellites, including observation satellites, military satellites, and communications satellites at the event. He explained how these technologies play a crucial role in both defense and civilian applications, supporting a wide range of operations from intelligence gathering to secure communications.
"The Philippines is a key country in Asia," Arai noted, underscoring the strategic importance of the nation in the region's stability. He expressed that the relationship between Japan and the Philippines is already robust but has potential for further growth, particularly in the areas of defense and security.
