HII deploys G-BOSS(E) to enhance border security with U.S. Army

HII has completed the deployment of the Ground-Based Operational Surveillance System (Expeditionary) – G-BOSS(E) to the U.S. Army’s 716th Military Police Battalion, marking the first unit to receive this advanced mobile surveillance platform.

Manufactured by HII’s Mission Technologies division in Crane, IN, the G-BOSS(E) is a self-contained, ground-based surveillance system designed for expeditionary operations. It features multi-spectral sensors and provides persistent surveillance to enhance situational awareness for countering physical security threats. The G-BOSS(E) has been identified as a critical tool for securing the U.S. Southern border.

Further deployments of the system are expected as the Department of Defense works to expand its use across the Joint Task Force–Southern Border.
