Kärcher Futuretech says their objective is to “localize production in Saudi Arabia” and are potentially considering Türkiye for localizing production in the future in an interview with DefenseHere at the World Defense Show held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
Alfred Kärcher GmbH & Co. KG was founded in 1935 and is today a major manufacturer of high-pressure cleaning equipment. The company employs 8,700 people and has more than 80 subsidiaries all over the world.
Kärcher’s subsidiary Kärcher Futuretech GmbH develops, manufactures, and markets products for the special needs of public customers, such as the armed forces, fire brigades, civil defense, disaster control and relief organizations.
Naktel Ben Fraj, sales manager for Middle East, North Africa, Turkey, France, and Italy for Kärcher Futuretech said in an interview with DefenseHere:
“We are mainly specialized in the CBRN decontamination systems, so chemical, biological, radiological, and nuclear decontamination systems, water purification systems, which means also desalination, desalinization of water's, field kitchen and mobile field camps so which are in use mainly by the military and by the civil defense. And by some NGOs also.
So, we are doing this in Europe and outside of Europe. Our equipment here and in the area are present in many countries, including Turkey, UAE, Saudi Arabia, Oman, Qatar, and Bahrain. I mean, we are pretty we are very present in this area, but we are also working a lot with the NATO countries.
And our main let's say customers are native NATO countries, including Turkey. We had to expand the activity in the Middle East, especially since we are present here now in this exhibition. Our objective here is to localize our production also in Saudi Arabia, which will comply with the vision here and the local vision with this Saudi Arabia to have at least partially output our products here for the produce it for the military and for the civil defense. In the Turkish market.
We are present with our CBRN decontamination system, as was the Turkish Ministry of Defense. They have had our equipment in use for more than ten years now, and they are also we are in discussion with the Ministry of Defense, and we have meetings also this year to discuss how to introduce our new technologies in the military.
They are very interested to discuss this and maybe in future also to have a local production in Turkey.”
