In an interview with Defensehere.com Fatmanur Ayar, the General Manager of Navantia’s Türkiye office, presented the company’s current and future projects.
Ayar said that with TCG Anadolu project Navantia has introduces itself to Türkiye’s defense industry.
Within the scope of the project, they have delivered the complete design package and provided the diesel engines and the integrated platform management system.
The delivery of the ship was in 2023.
Besides their projects in Türkiye, Ayar said that Navantia also has ongoing projects in Spain.
She pointed out several programs which were present at their booth during SAHA Expo, namely the frigate program for the Spanish Navy and the S-80 submarine program.
When asked about the collaboration opportunities with Türkiye, she said: “Now that we have entered the defense industry, we wholeheartedly wish to participate in future opportunities.”
“We wish to collaborate with Turkish defense industry companies, and to pursue new projects for the Turkish Navy, establishing partnerships for future initiatives,” she added.
