In an interview with Defensehere.com Executive Director of DSA Exhibition and Conference Nadzeem Abdul Rahman presented the upcoming event that will be held between 6-9 May, 2024.
The 18th edition of DSA and National Security Asia, which has been held since 1988, is both supported by the Ministry of Defense and Ministry of Home Affairs of Malaysia. More than 1000 companies coming from more than 33 countries are expected to attend the event.
Nadzeem Abdul Rahman stated that among the country groups Türkiye is anticipated to have the biggest presence with more than 50 companies. He also said that they’re expecting participations from other countries such as United Arab Emirates, China, France, Italy, Spain, USA and that they have been in touch with SAMI (Saudi Arabian Military Industries) to coordinate the participation of Saudi Arabia.
When asked about the participation of Russia, Abdul Rahman said the following:
“We welcome Russian participation as Malaysia is a very peaceful nation and believe in friendly bilateral relationship. We welcome them to participate, it’s all up to the Russian companies for them to decide whether it’s beneficial for them to come and exhibit. We do not have problems, we’re getting delegations of Russia to get into our event, and we hope that they’ll be thinking positively about attending the event.”
