Countdown to IQDEX 2025: Baghdad prepares for major defense exhibition

Preparations are underway for the 13th edition of the International Defense Exhibition (IQDEX), scheduled to take place from April 19 to 22, 2025, in Baghdad, Iraq. The event is set to gather leading defense companies, senior military officials, and industry experts from around the world to present cutting-edge defense technologies and explore strategic partnerships.

Recognized as one of the most prominent defense exhibitions in the region, IQDEX continues to attract international attention due to its strategic significance and wide-ranging participation. This year’s edition will highlight the latest in defense systems, weapons, and security solutions, reflecting a growing emphasis on modern warfare and evolving defense capabilities.

Global Industry Leaders to Exhibit at IQDEX 2025

A number of major international defense firms have confirmed their participation, including:

DEPO (Pakistan) – Showcasing advanced defense products and technologies.

Airbus (France) – Presenting aerospace and integrated defense solutions.

NORINCO (China) – Displaying land and air defense systems.

Aselsan (Turkiye) – Demonstrating cutting-edge communication and electronic warfare systems.

ASFAT (Turkiye) – Highlighting naval and land defense capabilities.

Havelsan (Turkiye) – Showcasing software-based defense and cyber security solutions.

KAI (South Korea) – Displaying advanced aircraft and aviation technology.

Fostering International Defense Collaboration

Cybersecurity Conference to Be Held as Part of IQDEX 2025 Activities

As part of the exhibition, a Cybersecurity Conference will be held on April 22, 2025, under the patronage of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces. The conference will focus on current trends in cybersecurity, defense, and military technologies.

Jointly organized by the Cybersecurity Incident Response Team and the United Company for Exhibitions and Conferences, the event will address emerging cybersecurity challenges and highlight solutions for protecting critical digital infrastructure.

International experts, institutional representatives, and specialized companies from around the world will participate in the conference, which will serve as a platform to exchange ideas, showcase innovations, and strengthen global cooperation in combating cyber threats.
