Participating in the 16th International Defense Industry Fair IDEF 2023 at Istanbul's Tüyap Fair and Congress Center was CANiK, a notable light weapons manufacturer.
At booths 413A and 413B in Hall 4, CANİK welcomed visitors and engaged in diverse discussions throughout the fair.
The CANİK booth received visits from over 25,000 visitors representing 40 countries, in addition to 15 official delegations. Amid considerable interest from the national media and the public, CANİK finalized 11 preliminary agreements during the event.
A key participant at IDEF, CANİK, Türkiye's foremost global brand, garnered substantial attention from both the national media and the public due to their ambitious products that embody unmanned weapon systems within the defense industry.
The showcased products by CANİK sparked considerable interest across Europe, Africa, the Far East, and Gulf nations. The CANiK booth received visits from a total of 15 delegations over the course of the event.

Cahit Utku Aral, General Manager of CANİK, reflected on IDEF 2023, expressing, "During our nation's centennial year, we illuminated the triumphs of our defense industry through an exceptionally splendid exhibition. At one of the grandest booths, we unveiled the advanced iteration of our national 12.7 mm anti-aircraft gun, CANİK M2 QCB, known as CANİK M3. We also presented our medium-caliber guns alongside the national remotely controlled stabilized weapon (UKSS) turret family, a product that developed by our subsidiary UNIROBOTICS, making its debut at IDEF'23."
Our recently devised systems were also showcased in the booths of respected Turkish enterprises such as TUSAŞ, HAVELSAN, FNSS, NUROL, Katmerciler, Best Grup, and Elektroland. Once more, we observed the trust that amicable and allied nations place in Türkiye's defense industry. We actively participated in substantial conversations regarding potential future partnerships at the event. I wholeheartedly believe that this signifies the commencement of an auspicious era for Türkiye."
Unveiling the M3, VENOM LR, and Remote-Controlled Turret Family
During IDEF 2023, CANiK presented the inaugural unveiling of the enhanced CANiK M2 QCB, Türkiye's own 12.7 mm anti-aircraft gun, engineered for extended range capabilities. Following acquisition of British AEI Systems, a prominent medium caliber cannon manufacturer, CANiK debuted the VENOM LR, a globally distinguished product within its domain, for the first time at IDEF 2023.
Additionally, it presented UNIROBOTICS’ distinctive product line of three national remotely controlled stabilized weapon (UKSS) turrets, each boasting the highest hardware configuration for manned and unmanned ground and sea platforms, along with one active-stabilized weapon mount. Alongside product introductions at the fair, CANiK Academy, responsible for training and consultancy, announced its opening to individual users.
Furthermore, the event featured UNIROBOTICS' unique collection of three national remotely controlled stabilized weapon (UKSS) turret, each equipped with the most advanced hardware setup for both manned and unmanned ground and sea platforms, accompanied by an active-stabilized weapon mount. In parallel with the product presentations at the fair, the CANiK Academy, responsible for training and consultancy, declared its accessibility to individual users.
