The renowned Turkish firearms manufacturer, CANiK, has made waves in the global firearms industry with the introduction of two new models in its popular micro-compact pistol line, the Mete MC9L and MC9LS. These pistols build on the success of the original MC9, offering increased capacity, improved grip surface, and an extended sight radius on the MC9LS, further enhancing the shooting experience.
Both the CANiK Mete MC9L and MC9LS are chambered in 9mm and boast an impressive 17+1 round capacity. They are compatible with all standard and extended capacity CANiK magazines. The MC9L features an overall length of 6.27 inches, a width of 1.14 inches, a height of 5.43 inches, and a barrel length of 3.18 inches. It weighs 22.22 ounces unloaded. The MC9LS, on the other hand, extends the barrel length by 0.46 inches to a total of 3.64 inches, with an overall length of 6.75 inches and an unloaded weight of 23.73 ounces, providing an increased sight radius for improved accuracy.
Both models come equipped with two 17-round magazines, an inside-the-waistband holster, three different-sized backstraps, a tool kit, punch, speed loader, pinky rest, and a cleaning kit, all packaged in a durable hard case. The MC9L and MC9LS will be available in three colors: black, flat dark earth (FDE), and a two-tone black/FDE combination. Additionally, both models will have an option for an optic-included version, featuring the Mecanik MO1 optic.
