The city of Plovdiv is set to become a focal point of the international defense and security industry as HEMUS 2026 opens tomorrow at the International Fair Plovdiv Fairground.
Running from June 3 to 6, the biennial exhibition is organized under the auspices of Bulgaria’s Ministry of Defence along with other national institutions. It is widely regarded as the country’s largest defense and security event, drawing government representatives, military officials, industry leaders and international delegations.
A long-standing regional platform
With more than three decades of history, HEMUS has evolved into a recurring meeting point for defense stakeholders across Europe and beyond. Organizers describe it as a platform positioned at the crossroads of East and West, bringing together governments, armed forces, defense companies, research institutions and academia.
