Bombardier’s Global 7500, hailed as “the ultimate record-setting time machine,” continues to demonstrate its unmatched performance capabilities with a string of new speed records. The business jet, capable of reaching Mach 0.925, has recently achieved remarkable flight times between several key city pairs, further solidifying its status as a leader in its class.
Record-Breaking Flights Across the Globe
The Global 7500’s latest achievements include:
Tokyo to Hong Kong in 3 hours and 40 minutes
New Delhi to Tokyo in 7 hours
Los Angeles to Auckland in under 12 hours
These records underscore the jet’s impressive range of 7,700 nautical miles and its ability to connect critical destinations with unparalleled efficiency. Central to its performance is Bombardier’s innovative ‘Smooth Flex Wing’ system, which optimizes aerodynamic efficiency and enhances overall flight capabilities.
Unmatched Performance, Even on Routine Missions
“What’s even more impressive about these records is they are flown as part of routine aircraft movements, including some missions that have passengers aboard,” noted Jean-Christophe Gallagher, Bombardier Defense’s executive vice president of aircraft sales. Customers have even had the opportunity to be on board during these record-setting flights, adding to the aircraft’s reputation for reliability and versatility.
With close to 200 aircraft in operation and over 200,000 flying hours, the Global 7500 fleet continues to set benchmarks in the business aviation sector.
Global 8000: Pushing the Limits of Civilian Aviation
Building on the Global 7500’s success, Bombardier is already in advanced production of the Global 8000, expected to enter service next year. This enhanced model will reach a top speed of Mach 0.94, making it the fastest civilian aircraft since Concorde. Additionally, current Global 7500 owners can opt for an upgrade to boost their jet’s speed to Mach 0.94 through Bombardier’s service centres.
“The blazing new speed records of the Global 7500 reaffirm its position as the proven, undisputed leader in its category,” Gallagher concluded. With innovations like the Global 8000 on the horizon, Bombardier is set to redefine the future of business aviation.
