Boeing says they owe their expansive global footprint to their ability “to go find companies in different parts of the world and bring them into supply chain.”
Rick Lemaster, Senior Regional Manager at Boeing talked about Boeing’s supply chains in an interview with DefenseHere.
Lemaster said: “A good example of that is happening in the Emirates. The company called STRATA, which is building the vertical fin for the 787. And as we worked with them over the last decade, they've gotten so good at it. They are one of our top-tier suppliers. So, they are able to put those products into our overall global supply chain and thereby create more opportunities here within the Emirates, as well as supporting other places.”
“We look for opportunities, working with our customers, both on the military side as well as on the commercial side, because we're always looking for people who have the ability to go build the products we need with the quality that's necessary to meet the requirements at a competitive price and be able to allow us to offer those to our end customers, be they military or commercial customers or the public.”
