Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL), a prominent Indian defense electronics company, took part in the Africa Aerospace and Defence (AAD) Expo held in South Africa. The company, participating under the Indian Pavilion, displayed a wide array of cutting-edge defense systems, emphasizing its growing role in the global defense industry.
In an exclusive statement to Defensehere.com, Kamesh Kasana, General Manager of Bharat Electronics, noted the strategic importance of the African market for India's defense sector. He highlighted that South Africa and the African continent at large are significant for India, both in terms of defense cooperation and fostering peaceful relations. And he added that BEL aims to contribute to peace and stability through its defense products and technologies, which range from communication systems to electronic warfare, unmanned systems, and more.
While discussing Bharat Electronics' participation in the expo, Kasana mentioned that India values the opportunities to strengthen ties in the African market, which is crucial for both defense collaboration and broader economic relations.
