Turkish defense giant ASELSAN’s General Manager Ahmet Akyol and an accompanying delegation have recently engaged in a series of meetings in North Macedonia.
During these meetings, company officials held productive discussions with North Macedonian Prime Minister Talat Caferi, Minister of Defense Slavjanka Petrovska, and Chief of General Staff Vasko Gjurchinovski, focusing on ASELSAN's technological capabilities and potential collaborations.
The establishment of ASELSAN's Balkans Office in Skopje underscores its commitment to enhancing bilateral cooperation, notably supporting the modernization efforts of the North Macedonia’s armed forces in line with NATO standards.
About the visit, Akyol said they have examined the Intelligent Transportation Systems Main Control Center established in the country and saw the technological added value offered by ASELSAN in the civilian field.
“We believe that the cooperation between our countries will continue to increase in the field of high technologies,” he wrote on X, formerly Twitter.
Akyol also paid a visit to the Embassy of Türkiye in Skopje where he met with Ambassador Fatih Ulusoy.
During the meeting, strengthening cooperation between Türkiye and North Macedonia in the field of defense industry was discussed.
