A "Declaration of Goodwill" was signed between ASELSAN and the Armed Forces of Uzbekistan to deepen bilateral cooperation and provide capabilities to Uzbekistan.
The 2nd Meeting of Türkiye-Uzbekistan Defense Industry Cooperation was held in Tashkent, the capital of Uzbekistan.
Türkiye was represented at the meeting by the President of Defence Industries Prof. Dr. Haluk Görgün.
Regarding the meeting, Prof. Dr. Görgün stated that they met with Mansur Ibodullaev, President of the Defense Industry Agency of the Ministry of Defense of Uzbekistan, and thanked them for their hosting.
Görgün continued as follows:
"On the occasion of the meeting, we had productive discussions on evaluating cooperation opportunities related to defense industry projects and products. I am pleased to announce that a 'Declaration of Goodwill' was signed between ASELSAN, one of our defense industry companies participating in the meeting, and the Armed Forces of Uzbekistan to deepen bilateral cooperation and bring capabilities to Uzbekistan. After the meeting, we visited the Chief of the General Staff of Uzbekistan Major General Shukhrat Kholmukhamedov and his team and had another useful meeting with our delegation. I hope that our cooperation with friendly and allied countries in the international arena will increase and lead to good deeds."
