Embraer hosts Asia-Pacific Airline Business Seminar in Singapore

Embraer held the Asia-Pacific edition of its Airline Business Seminar in Singapore from August 6–7, 2025, bringing together representatives from airlines, aviation authorities, financial institutions, and consultancy firms to discuss regional aviation trends.

The closed-door meeting covered emerging travel patterns, connectivity needs, and opportunities for various aircraft categories, including Embraer’s E-Jets and E-Jets E2 families.

According to Raul Villaron, Vice President for Asia Pacific at Embraer Commercial Aviation, discussions focused on strategies adopted by airlines and industry stakeholders to improve yields and address growth prospects in the Asia-Pacific region.

Embraer’s most recent market outlook, published in June 2025, forecasts global demand for 10,500 jets and turboprops with fewer than 150 seats over the next two decades. Of these, approximately 3,390 are expected to be delivered to Asia Pacific, including China.

Currently, nearly 200 E-Jets are in service across Asia Pacific, operated by 14 airlines in seven countries. Customers include Scoot, All Nippon Airways, Japan Airlines, Tianjin Airlines, Alliance Airlines, and Virgin Australia.

Recent orders in the region include Virgin Australia’s purchase of eight E190-E2 aircraft in 2024 for regional and charter operations in Western Australia, and All Nippon Airways’ 2025 order for 15 E190-E2s, with an option for five additional units. Both carriers will be the first to operate E2 aircraft in their respective countries.
