Embraer concludes KC-390 U.S. demo tour

Embraer has concluded its U.S. demonstration tour of the KC-390 Millennium with a final static display at Joint Base Andrews, Maryland. The two-day event was attended by U.S. military representatives, members of Congress, and media personnel.

Over the past two weeks, the KC-390 participated in several defense and aerospace events across the United States. During the Aerial Refueling Systems Advisory Group (ARSAG) conference in Las Vegas, Embraer presented the aircraft’s capabilities in air refueling operations. The tour continued at the Kennedy Space Center, Florida, where the KC-390 demonstrated its suitability for rescue missions and space logistics. At SOF Week in Tampa, Florida, the aircraft was highlighted for its performance in special operations scenarios.

“We are thrilled to see the positive feedback from everyone that visited or had the chance to fly in the aircraft during this series of demonstrations, and we see many opportunities for the KC-390 in the U.S.,” said Bosco da Costa Junior, President and CEO of Embraer Defense & Security. “The aircraft offers an unbeatable combination of unmatched performance, cargo capacity and low operating costs and that is why we are extremely confident that the KC-390 fits the needs of the U.S. Armed Forces.”

Designed as a multi-mission military jet, the KC-390 supports operations such as aerial refueling and Agile Combat Employment. The aircraft is equipped with advanced sensors, communications systems, and integrated electronic warfare capabilities to ensure survivability and operational connectivity.

Currently in production and operating at full capability, the KC-390 is used by Brazil, Portugal, and Hungary, with confirmed orders from the Netherlands, Austria, Czech Republic, Sweden, Slovakia, and South Korea, among others.
