EDGE strengthens strategic alliances with ELT Group and Leonardo

EDGE Group has reinforced its global partnerships by signing key agreements with ELT Group and Leonardo, further solidifying its role as a leading advanced technology and defense entity. These agreements, formalized during the Italy-UAE Entrepreneurial Forum and IDEX 2025, mark significant progress in fostering innovation and enhancing strategic defense capabilities.

EDGE and ELT Group Expand Collaboration

During the Italy-UAE Entrepreneurial Forum, EDGE Group signed a Letter of Intent (LOI) with ELT Group, reaffirming their commitment to advancing multi-domain electronic defense solutions. The agreement was witnessed by UAE President Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, underscoring the strong bilateral cooperation between the two nations in defense technology.

The partnership between EDGE and ELT Group has evolved through multiple initiatives, including a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed at IDEX 2025 in Abu Dhabi. This MoU set the foundation for a joint venture focused on developing cutting-edge electronic warfare and cybersecurity solutions.

Hamad Al Marar, Managing Director & CEO of EDGE Group, highlighted the significance of the agreement, stating: “This second major milestone in our partnership with ELT Group reinforces our commitment to expanding our capabilities and striving for industry leadership in advanced electromagnetic spectrum and cyber technologies. By combining our expertise, we aim to capitalize on new opportunities for growth and security advancements worldwide.”

Enzo Benigni, CEO of ELT Group, emphasized the strengthened cooperation, saying: “These agreements reinforce an already solid partnership, allowing us to pursue innovative security solutions while fostering structured industrial cooperation and knowledge exchange.”

EDGE and Leonardo to Advance Naval Capabilities

Further enhancing its global defense collaborations, EDGE Group also signed an LOI with Leonardo, designating the Italian defense giant as the key combat system integrator and supplier of combat systems for future naval capabilities. This agreement follows a prior MoU signed at IDEX 2025 on February 18, which laid the groundwork for a structured partnership focused on jointly marketing defense solutions to multiple governments. The partnership also commits to the joint development of intellectual property and future design innovations.

According to the agreement, EDGE and Leonardo aim to achieve the next stage of this collaborative initiative by June 2025. The alliance represents a major step forward in advancing maritime defense technologies and securing strategic procurement opportunities.
