McLaughlin noted that BODD’s system can scan an individual in under a minute, capturing detailed body measurements to determine precise uniform and equipment sizing. This rapid sizing capability significantly reduces the time and labor required during recruitment or outfitting processes, replacing what traditionally takes hours with a streamlined 60-second scan.
The same platform also supports health and wellness assessments, offering insights into body composition, muscle and fat distribution, hydration levels, and vital signs such as heart rate and blood pressure. According to McLaughlin, these features allow defense and protective service organizations to better monitor personnel readiness and identify potential risks or injuries through range-of-motion evaluations.
He emphasized that the company’s technology is already in use within Australia’s defense sector and is now being demonstrated to international partners to explore collaboration opportunities.
