Babcock International Group joins the Space Data Association

Babcock International Group to its membership. Babcock, a leading global defence, aerospace, and security company, provides critical engineering support and secure communication solutions to enhance defence capabilities and maintain critical assets. Babcock, through its consortium Team Aurora, manages the UK Ministry of Defence’s Skynet military satellite communications system in partnership with SES, Intelsat, and LuxGovSat. The company is a key provider of secure communications to the UK military, playing a pivotal role in maintaining operational effectiveness.

The Space Data Association is an international organisation dedicated to improving satellite flight safety by sharing operational data and promoting best practices for space use. Its members include major satellite communications operators and remote sensing organisations, all working collaboratively to ensure the safety and sustainability of the space environment.

Joe Chan, Chairman and Executive Director of the SDA, welcomed Babcock’s membership, stating:
