ASELSAN and NCMS explore new collaboration opportunities in Saudi Arabia

ASELSAN and Saudi Arabia’s National Company for Mechanical Systems (NCMS) held a meeting in Riyadh to discuss ongoing and potential new projects aimed at strengthening bilateral defense cooperation.

According to ASELSAN General Manager Ahmet Akyol, who met with NCMS CEO Ali Al Ashban, the discussions focused on advancing current programs and identifying new areas of partnership. “As ASELSAN, we are taking firm steps towards establishing strong and sustainable global partnerships,” Akyol stated.

NCMS emphasized its commitment to expanding strategic partnerships and enhancing its technological capabilities through such collaborations. The company described the meeting as “productive,” highlighting mutual interest in business development opportunities.

The two sides have an established history of cooperation. Under an agreement signed two years ago, ASELSAN and NCMS began joint projects involving the localization of electro-optical surveillance and targeting systems, guidance kits, and precision munitions used on UAVs exported by Baykar Technologies.

This renewed engagement in Riyadh signals continued momentum in Turkish-Saudi defense industry collaboration, supporting both countries’ efforts to localize advanced defense technologies.
