Bianchini emphasized Iveco’s strong presence in Brazil, where over 700 Guarani armored vehicles have already been delivered, and highlighted the ongoing production of the Guaicurus 4x4, based on the LMV platform.

Bianchini noted that the Guaicurus locally designated LMVs are already in service across Europe with more than 4,000 units sold. Designed for agility in rough terrain, the vehicle can carry five personnel and a payload exceeding one ton. He underlined its relevance to Brazil’s diverse geography, describing it as a versatile platform suited for both military operations and homeland security missions.

The amphibious Guarani 6x6, built for riverine and obstacle-crossing missions, is also gaining attention beyond Brazil. Bianchini said there is growing interest from regional countries such as Mexico, and even prospects in Africa, particularly for roles such as troop transport and counter-UAS operations.

Another centerpiece of the interview was the Centauro II, an 8x8 anti-tank vehicle jointly developed with Leonardo under the CIO consortium. Fitted with a 120mm cannon, the platform was recently selected by the Brazilian Army, with a contract covering two prototypes already signed and further orders expected. Iveco plans to use Brazil as a production and export hub for Centauro II, aiming to expand deliveries to countries including Argentina, Chile, Peru, and Mexico.
