Turkish firearms manufacturer TİSAŞ presented its latest products for security forces during the Homeland Security Equipment Fair (IGEF 2025), held in Ankara between September 18 and 20.

Founded in 1993 under the Eastern Black Sea Firearms Project, TİSAŞ specializes in domestic pistol production and today exports to more than 65 countries. In 2024, the company exported over 200,000 units, with more than 85 percent of its revenue coming from international sales.

Among its key products are the Zigana pistol series, 1911 models developed for the U.S. market, the PX-9 used by the Turkish Armed Forces, and the PX-5.7, introduced in 2024. Chambered in 5.7×28 mm, the PX-5.7 is offered by only a limited number of manufacturers worldwide and has drawn attention in the United States, where 22,000 units were sold in 2024. The company aims to double that figure in 2025.

TİSAŞ also displayed machine guns and platform-mounted systems, including a 7.62×54 mm machine gun and a 12.7 mm Gatling system previously exhibited at IDEF 2025.

IGEF 2025 was held under the auspices of the Ministry of Interior with the support of several national institutions including the General Directorate of Security, the Gendarmerie General Command, the Coast Guard Command, the Disaster and Emergency Management Authority, and others. This year marked the second edition of the fair. The next IGEF will take place in Ankara from October 1 to 3, 2026.
