The 21st graduation ceremony for the Bayraktar Akıncı Unmanned Combat Aerial Vehicle (UCAV) training program took place on October 14, marking the completion of training by members of the Royal Saudi Air Force.
The ceremony was attended by Baykar General Manager Haluk Bayraktar, Turkish Air Force Commander General Ziya Cemal Kadıoğlu, and Royal Saudi Air Force Commander H.R.H. Lt. Gen. Turki Bin Bandar Bin Abdulaziz AlSaud, along with accompanying delegations.
In a statement shared by Baykar, the company said:
“The 21st Bayraktar Akıncı Graduation Ceremony was held with the participation of our General Manager Haluk Bayraktar, Air Force Commander General Ziya Cemal Kadıoğlu, and Royal Saudi Air Force Commander H.R.H Lt. Gen. Turki Bin Bandar Bin Abdulaziz AlSaud, along with their delegations. We congratulate all the graduates who successfully completed the course.”
Baykar and Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Defense signed an agreement in 2023 for the export and cooperation of the Bayraktar Akıncı UCAV. The contract also includes provisions for training, technical support, and logistics services. The deal represents Türkiye’s largest single defense and aerospace export to date.
